The short version
PillTick has no email sign-up and no password, and we don't sell your information or show ads.
Free plan
Your medicines, schedule and history are stored only on your phone. We don't receive them.
Pro and family sharing
When you start Pro or accept an invite, your names, medicines, schedules and dose history are stored on our servers so the people you share with can see them. Each person is linked to a random anonymous account ID. We also store a push notification token for your device so we can send alerts and keep phones in step.
Scanning a label
If you choose to scan a label or prescription, the photo is sent to OpenAI to read the medicine details, and the result comes back to your phone for you to check. We ask OpenAI not to store it, and we don't keep the photo or what it said on our servers. A label can show your name or pharmacy, so you may want to cover those. Scanning creates an anonymous account ID used only to count your scans. Your medicines stay on your phone unless you use Pro.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts our servers and Pro data.
- Expo, Google Firebase and Apple deliver notifications. Alert text can include a name and medicine unless you turn on hiding names.
- OpenAI reads label photos you choose to scan.
- RevenueCat, Apple and Google handle purchases. We never see your card details.
- Vercel hosts this website.
Your choices
You can remove a person or medicine in the app at any time. To delete Pro data held on our servers, contact us. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone.
Children
PillTick is not directed at children under 13.
